Wood Carving

  • Frick Environmental Center 2005 Beechwood Boulevard Pittsburgh, PA, 15217 United States (map)

$20

Join the OIC for an evening of woodcarving in Frick Park. Perfect for new and experienced carvers alike, each participant will receive instruction on proper use and handling of knives, safety precautions, and carving techniques. Additionally, each participant will get a carving knife, a pair of cut resistant gloves, sandpaper, and many pieces of wood for the event. We will have time to create wooden utensils, figurines, or anything else you may have in mind.

We will meet at the Frick Environmental Center before heading out for a short, five-minute walk to an outdoor space perfect for carving. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be moved under shelter at the Frick Environmental Center. To register, click here.

There is 1 scholarship available for this event, please apply here by Wednesday, April 16th.
